在这里,他把职业推销员假想为推销的对象——顾客。阿道夫的调查发现,18.7%的人“有明确的拒绝理由”;16.9%的人“没有明确的理由,随便找个理由拒绝;”借口忙碌的占6.8%;“不记得是什么理由,好像是直觉”的高达47。2%;另有10.4%的人有其他情况。
决结来看,有70%的人都没有什么真正明确的拒绝理由,只是泛泛地反感推销员的打扰,随便找个理由把推销员打发走。
因此,阿道夫断言:“我要请每一个推销员记住:拒绝你推销的公司或个人之中,有2\3以上是在撒谎。”
